Seven Jeans’ 27-size Bootcut and the High Waist Edie with Squiggle straight legs are
not just two of the best (and bestselling) women’s jeans from Seven For All Mankind. If you ask me, they’re
two of the best women’s jeans, period. I have multiple pairs of each of them in several different colors, and
they pretty much cover all of my jeans needs. They’re durable, versatile, comfortable, and they look good.
What else could you want?
One of the reasons I love Seven For All Mankind Jeans, especially the Seven Jeans 27
Bootcuts and Straight Legs, is that they’re made with much more care than other types of jeans. With most
types of jeans, you can usually tell that the company is skimping on materials somewhere—whether its in the
stitching, the pockets, the buttons and zippers, or the fabric itself. But with Seven Jeans, you can always
tell that the company spares no expense in using the best-quality materials.
Plus, no other jeans company is as skilled at washing, aging, and treating jeans in
the factory. By the time Seven Jeans hit store shelves, they already have a partially broken-in look, which
is a good thing. I always have trouble with jeans that come from the store looking brand new. Sometimes it
can take months before they start to feel right and look like they’ve been worn. There’s something to be said
for breaking in jeans yourself, but it’s so much work, especially when you only wear a certain pair of jeans
once every couple of weeks. It can take years.
With Seven Jeans, 27 is just the right size. I’ve been known to be able to squeeze
into a 26 from time to time, but only when I’ve been hitting the pilates a little extra hard. The problem
with the 27s is that apparently every other woman in the universe is a 27. That’s the only way to explain how
hard it is for me to find my size in stores. I can find hundreds of 26s and 28s, but for whatever reason I’m
always being informed by the salesgirls and boys that they’re all out of 27s, so try back next week. That’s
why I’ve resorted to just buying them online. It’s easier and more convenient that way.
But how do the Seven Jeans 27 Bootcuts and the High Waist Edie’s stack up against each
other? For me, the Bootcuts, especially in Black Black, are perfect for dates where I want to look a little
extra sharp, and I’ve even gotten away with wearing them to work sometimes. Because they’re black and don’t
have too much factory aging, you can almost pass them off as formal slacks.
The High Waist Edies, on the other hand, are best for more casual things. I like to
wear them on the weekends when I’m going to be walking around. They’re also good for just throwing on to go
out to the store. I don’t think I could wear them to my job, but if you work somewhere that’s pretty casual,
why not? They look good, and that’s the most important thing.
We have no association with Seven jeans. This is simply a review site to help you pick the
best pair and find savings.
